Wild Learning at the Jackson Zoo

Wild Learning Grants

Bringing the joy and wonder of wildlife to students across Mississippi. Wild Learning is a grant funded program that provides access to The Jackson Zoo resources to students from all economic backgrounds.

Wild Learning is currently in place in Hinds, Madison, Warren, and Claiborne Counties. Schools in these counties may be eligible for funding towards admission and programs dependent on economic status and location.

Funding for the Wild Learning Project is made possible by:

NISSAN
Community Foundation of Greater Jackson
Vicksburg Medical Foundation
Entergy Nuclear
Madison Charitable Foundation

How it Works:

The Jackson Zoo will hold funds for our pre-approved districts until October 18, 2017. While the arranged field trip or Zoo Mobile can happen any time in the 2017-2018 school year, registration must be completed before October 18th.  After October 18th funds will be opened for the next area of focus. Any remaining funds will be opened for all schools with 80% free and reduced lunch attendance.
