Education Program Descriptions
The Jackson Zoo has a host of education programs designed to educate and entertain.
Jackson Zoological Society Field Trip Request Form
To receive the discounted group admission, please follow the guidelines listed below:
- School or Preschool groups up to 12th grade (any established or licensed school facility that teaches, does not include day care centers) admission $2.50 per person.
- The group must have a minimum of 10 paying students (Kindergarten through 12 grade).
- One teacher or chaperone is free per 10 students. Bus drivers are admitted free of charge.
- You must pay with a school check, money order or purchase order in advance. Personal checks or cash not accepted for school programs.
- Friends of the Zoo membership, passes and coupons cannot be used with the group rate.
- Payment must be received at least three working days before your visit.
- Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance for the school group rate admission, lunch or snack package. In the event of heavy rain or other changes in plans, a call must be made to 601-352-2580 ext. 240 to cancel the food request by 9:30am the day of the planned visit
- All vehicles pay a parking fee except buses and school vans.
- Each teacher/chaperon must have a chaperon name tag in order to receive free admission and rides.
