What is Safari Slumbers?  This is an awesome overnight "sleepover" at the Jackson Zoo.  This program is catered to scouting, church or family groups.  Groups will have the opportunity to do night and behind-the-scenes tours with Zoo Staff.

Topics

Mississippi Nights: Velvet nights, glowing campfire and lots of evening excitement – all in your own back yard! Experience the animal "natives" of Mississippi and how they have adapted to living at night.

Africa After Dark: Ever wonder when and how an elephant or giraffe sleep?  And who wakes up when the sun goes down? Come see what the animals of Africa do after it gets dark!

Rainforest Dreams: Camp under the canopy with the Rainforest animals at the Jackson Zoo.You may just think you are dreaming when you experience this adventure at the Jackson Zoo!

Days and Times

Friday Nights at 7:00 PM until 9:00 AM Saturday.

(Saturdays or special occasions may be available upon request.)

Prices

$35 per person (Group minimum – 10) Reservations must be made three weeks in advance. To make reservations for your group, call the EdZOOcation office at 601/352-2586.
