World Giraffe Day: The Longest Neck and The Longest Day (Alzheimer’s Association)

June 21 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Zoo Keepers celebrate the beautiful giraffes all over the world, raising awareness of the four species and their declining numbers. Recently listed as Endangered on the IUCN List, the Jackson Zoo Education Department will have some fun activities, and the daily Keeper Chat with Kevin Davis Knox the Reticulated giraffe starts at 3 pm. We also welcome the local chapter of the Alzheimers Assocation as they promote the Longest Day, a worldwide effort to support those suffering the degenerative condition and the families and care givers who face the challenges with them.
