No matter what time of year it is, the Jackson Zoo is packed with special events and animal encounters that will delight the entire family.

2015 List of Events

May 2-June 27- Town Days
Residents of participating towns receive 1/2 off admission with a valid ID. Local businesses, chambers, and city officials are invited to set up booths to greet guests. The following Town Days have been set for 2015:
Clinton- May 2
Ridgeland- May 16
Rankin Co./Flowood- June 13
Jackson- June 27

June 17- Dream Night
An evening set aside for children with special needs and chronically ill diseases.   This year we have partnered with the Disability Mega Conference as an opening activity to their annual conference. Children and their families come out and enjoy the zoo at their own pace. Refreshments and activities are provided. This is a free event, registration is required to attend. www.msmegaconference.org

June 20 & 21- Father’s Day
Father’s receive 1/2 off admission Saturday and Sunday in honor of Father’s Day. Saturday the first 100 guests will receive gift cards from Cups Espresso Café.
MS Dept. of Wildlife & Fisheries will be teaching archery classes for the whole family, from 10a-1p!

July 11- Ice Cream Safari
Now in its 21st year, this event has featured our local media celebrities showing off their personalities and scooping favorite ice cream flavors for your votes.  This year we will separate the voting into print, radio and TV categories and still have an overall winner. Blue Bunny will be providing 21 flavors of ice cream, Trustmark is sponsoring a Kids’ Zone activity area, and Stanpac is providing tasting cups. General Admission is $12.25/Adults, $9.75/Kids, and $3/Members.  

July 25- International Tiger Day
Join us for a day filled with crafts & education about TIGERS! This globally recognized day is an effort to bring awareness about conservation of this beautiful species. Marco’s Pizza will be on-site giving away gift cards for the first 100 guests.

August 1- Last Splash
Our annual end of summer event provides one last “splash” before its time to hit the books again. Large water slides located at the Amphitheater lawn, squirt gun zone in MS Area, bounce houses, face painting, characters and more.

September 13- Grandparents Day
In celebration of National Grandparents Day we invite all grandparents to visit the zoo on Sept. 13 for free admission with paying child. Additional activities and
light refreshments will be provided.

September 24- Zoo Party
This annual fundraiser held at Highland Village will bring awareness to the needs of the zoo. Lots of good food, great music and more during this adult only event!
