2017 LIST OF UPCOMING EVENTS
April 1 – Opening Day of Dinosaurs
Lurking impatiently in a once off-limit corner of The Jackson Zoo, a pack of 12 life-size, lifelike prehistoric creatures await the opening day of “Dinos: See the Past, Protect the Future,” a spectacular, all-new exhibit coming to the Jackson Zoo on April 1, 2017.
For a limited time only (April – July), these animatronic dinosaurs, brought to life, will take visitors back in time for a colossal adventure. The experience will provide a rare chance to discover a lost world millions of years ago, while warning about the very real threat of extinction of many endangered species today.
Among the exhibit’s added features are a Fossil Dig, a Pachyrhinosaurus photo op and an augmented reality app to access special content. Guests will even have an opportunity to peek at the robotics controlling the large creatures in our Education exhibit hall.
The experience promises colossal levels of awe with fascinating facts about the prehistoric era, the featured dinosaurs, and how they compare to our Jackson Zoo animals.
