Sept. 3-5 – Frozen Treat Animal Enrichment Day

Join us Labor Day weekend at the Jackson Zoo for frozen treat fun for our furry friends and Zoo guest. First 200 guest each day will receive a coupon for a FREE Icee Pop from the Elephant Cafe. Plan your trip with our frozen treat schedule below and stick around for scheduled Zoo Keeper chats throughout the day. All activities included with regular Zoo admission.

Sept. 22 – Zoo Party Unleashed

This annual fundraiser held at Highland Village from 7:00pm to 10:00pm will bring awareness to the needs of the zoo. This year’s Zoo Party Unleashed theme is the ROARing 20’s and will feature: Samplings from local restaurants, a variety of craft beer, prohibition themed cocktails, home brew from Raise Your Pints, live music from D Play Band, Bailey Brothers, and Mississippi Swing, raffle, and silent auction with over 20 artist! Oct. 28 & 29 – Boo at the Zoo 

The Zoo’s version of “trick or treat” will take place from 5:00pm to 8:0pm and will be open to the public for regular zoo admission to provide a safe, fun atmosphere for your children to celebrate Halloween.   Business and organizations will be solicited to come in and provide décor, activities and candy for their individual stations. Family friendly costumes are encouraged, parade of costumes will be held nightly at 6:30p at the Gertrude C. Ford Wildlife Theater and Monster Mash Dance party nightly at 7:30p.

Nov. 11 – Veteran’s Day

Celebrate Veteran’s special day with a trip to the Zoo! Military persons receive ½ off adult admission; must present I.D.

Dec. 10 – Cookies with Santa

The zoo’s annual Christmas event. Children are invited for an afternoon to visit with Santa, decorate a sugar cookie, holiday crafts, and story time.  Animals will be given special enrichment items to celebrate the holiday, as well. Santa will be visiting from 1-3. Activities will be taking place at the Gertrude C. Ford Wildlife Theaterat the Jackson Zoo.
