Membership FAQ

How can I become a member or renew my membership?

You can join or renew your membership through one of three ways

  1. Through our online webstore.
  2. At the admissions window when you visit the zoo.
  3. Call the zoo, Monday-Friday 9am=5pm at 601.352.2580 ext. 221

When does my membership expire?

Your membership is a yearly pass and is valid from the date of purchase. For example, if you purchase your membership on April 1, your membership will expire on March 31.

When will I receive my membership card?

If you purchase your membership online or over the phone, you will receive a receipt of purchase. Present this receipt to the admissions window on your next visit to the zoo and the attendant will issue you your membership card. If you purchase your membership in person, your card will be issued directly.

How many cards will I receive?

Each membership is issued one free card.

I have lost my membership card. How do I get a replacement?

On your next visit to the zoo you can ask for a replacement card. Please present the admission window attendant with a photo I.D. Please note that there is an $8 replacement fee.

Is identification required?

Yes. Please present a current photo I.D. along with your membership card.

Can a friend or family member use my membership card?

No. Memberships are non-transferable and are valid for the person (or persons) whose name(s) appear on the card.

Is parking included with membership?

Parking for all zoo guests is free. When guests enter the zoo, you will proceed directly into the parking lot and find a parking spot. Guests will never have to pay for parking in the main lot or at zoo satellite lots during busy events.

Can I use my membership with group discounts?

No. Memberships cannot be used with group rates or discounts.

Can I use my membership card at other zoos or aquarium?

Yes! The Jackson Zoo participates in the AZA Reciprocal Admissions Programs. This allows Jackson Zoo members to receive 50% off the admission rate at other participating zoos and aquariums. Please see the AZA Reciprocal Admissions page for program information and participating zoos. We encourage you to contact the zoo or aquarium you will be attending to review their admissions/membership policies.
