ZOO TEMPORARILY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC

Due to entering final stages of management transition, the Jackson Zoo is TEMPORARILY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC as of October 1, 2019. During this public hiatus, zoo animal care schedules and maintenance projects continue behind the gates as repairs and inspections for USDA licensing commence. Initial estimates are a public closure of 60 days or longer.

Animal lovers and zoo fans can rest assured that the animals are unaware of any changes, as their daily schedules remain the same.

The community can follow our progress on our Facebook and Instagram pages (@JacksonZoo) and by signing up for e-blasts at the bottom of our home page. We look forward to seeing everyone as soon as possible!

All memberships, comp passes, and promotional vouchers are frozen, and will be honored upon our re-open.

We have made every effort to notify the public of this closure, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

All management questions can be directed to the City of Jackson at 601-960-2313. General zoo information can be requested at info@jacksonzoo.org, or by calling 601-352-2580.
