Our Zoo Crew Volunteers are such an important part of the Jackson Zoo. They create quality experiences for guests, assist the staff with tasks that can help make more time for animal care faster, and support programs that promote the Jackson Zoo’s mission. We have opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. You could be an exhibit guide, a landscaper, part of our events team, help with Zoo Camp, even work on special projects that simply help the Jackson Zoo be the very best it can be!
Qualities we look for in our Zoo Crew:
  • A genuine interest in nature and conservation.
  • Friendly, outgoing, dependable. A positive attitude is a must!
  • Reliable and able to commit to at least one major event, and 2 or 3 minor ones as they can.
If you have a passion for sharing a specific skill (e.g. fundraising, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) please submit an application and contact us directly detailing your interest.
PLUS, the more you volunteer, the closer you get to a free year long membership!
