Education Curator

The Jackson Zoo Education Curator oversees all educational and volunteer programs for the zoo, from on site Wild Meet and Greets to Zoo Mobiles in the community. This is a full-time, highly visible public role, requiring a mature, self-motivated individual who is both animal and people oriented. Our Education Curator needs to be outgoing, comfortable working with groups of all ages, with interests in both teaching and training about wildlife and conservation. This is also a physical role, with work on weekends and holidays. The competitive hourly wage depends on experience level.

Zoo Ranger (Security)

Jackson Zoo Rangers are responsible for ensuring the security and safety of visitors, employees, volunteers, animals, and property of the Jackson Zoo. This is a physical position that requires flexibility, weekends and holidays, teamwork, and respect for humans and other living things. The competitive hourly wage depends on experience level. All applicants must be 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
