Happy Mothers’ Day!

The park is always open on Sundays, which is perfect for all those wishing to spend quality time with moms and grandmoms and step-moms and adoptive moms! Take commemorative photos and selfies in the fresh air amongst the animal moms… Sari the Sumatran tiger, Millicent the Black Necked swan, Nekena the Red Ruffed lemur, Clementine the Pygmy hippo, and Whitfield the American Alligator, to name a few. Rides on the Endangered Species Carouselare always $2, and Hot Diggity DogDippin Dots, and Pepsi are available to purchase near the cafe. Admission is $8 for ages 13 and up, $5 for ages 2-12 years old, and children under 2 are free. Use your credit or debit card ONLINE HERE or pay cash at the Admissions window. Last ticket sold daily at 3 pm.

Thanks to all 1,400 visitors who supported our Zoo Day this past Saturday! It was fun for all involved, and every admission helps our reZOOvenation! Big thanks going out to our volunteers and local organizations that gave their time to our guests:


It was SO much fun that we decided to do another one on National Play Outside Day/National Family Recreation Day! Mark your calendars for

Play Day at the Jackson Zoo

Saturday June 4th – 11 am to 3 pm It will be regular admission to enjoy special enrichment chats with your favorite animals in the park, each child will receive a free carousel ride, jumps from Bounce-A-Roo, and games and activities. Tickets will go on sale on the website next week, and be listening for free tickets on your favorite local radio stations!


JZKeeper Chat

Since they will be doing special enrichment for the animals during the event, the JZKeepers will need to restock for the next event!  They will be accepting bags of used clothing, household fabrics (towels, sheets, blankets, curtains), and apparel like purses, wallets, backpacks and shoulder bags to raise money viaPhill the Box! So start going through those closets and bagging up those unwanted or outgrown clothes and handbags for the zoo animals!Check out the JZKeepers AAZK Chapter webpage to see details.
